Carlos Guillen (Detroit Tigers – 2B) – When Carlos Guillen is healthy, he can be a nice cog in any fantasy lineup. Guillen is finally back following knee surgery, and has gotten off to a promising start with the Tigers. He is batting .412 since returning, with a homer and 4 RBIs. Furthermore, he has gotten a hit in every game.

The Tigers have a potent offense, providing Guillen with numerous opportunities to bang home RBIs. With the players batting ahead of him, the chances are going to be there. He won’t exactly give you extravagant power numbers, but he can make a pitcher pay if they make a mistake.

Consider Guillen in all formats. If you are having second base problems, don’t hesitate to insert him into your starting lineup. Guillen is available in 97 percent of leagues.

Guillen Stats – .412, 1 HR, 4 RBI, 1 Runs

Jon Jay (St. Louis Cardinals – OF) - Jon Jay is another player that has the luxury of playing on a juggernaut offense. He has appeared to take over in center field for struggling Colby Rasmus. The decision to yank Rasmus for Jay has paid off for the Cardinals, as he is looking comfortable batting in the two spot. As of July 21st, Jay has gone 9 for his last 18 and batting .311. On the other side, Rasmus has gone just 5-for-45 (.111) since the end of June. The Cardinals will remain with the hot bat on a regular basis until he slows down. If he starts to falter, expect Jay and Rasmus to share duties.

For the time being, acquire Jay and ride his hot steak. The great thing is that Rasmus is occupied in a majority of leagues; however, Jay can be found in just about every league.

Jay Stats – .311, 7 HR, 25 RBI, 27 Runs, 5 SB

Emilio Bonifacio (Florida Marlins – 3B, SS, OF) – Speaking about hot bats. Emilio Bonifcacio may have the hottest one in the majors right now. Thanks to a league leading 21 game hitting streak, Bonifacio is starting to get noticed among fantasy owners. The Florida Marlins are putting up big numbers on a consistent basis lately, and the majority of the lineup is getting in on the fun.

Due to his ability to steal basis, Bonifacio is perfect as a lead-off man. He is also perfect for fantasy owners looking for a speedy player that plays multiple positions. Well, that includes pretty much every owner. In that regard, take a serious look at Bonifacio. During his hot streak, he has batted around .380. Don’t expect him to continue to that degree, but get him while the Marlins are swinging the bats.

Bonifacio Stats – .290, 1 HR, 15 RBI, 45 Runs, 20 SB
